About Meetility

Meetility is a social events platform for discovering meetups, joining events, and meeting people who share your interests. This page is the short version of why it exists and what we believe.

Why did we build Meetility?

Because the apps that promised to connect us mostly kept us on our phones. Somewhere between endless feeds and endless swiping, actually meeting people — sitting across a table, kicking a ball around, arguing about a book — became the hard part.

We started Meetility in 2023 with a simple bet: shared interests are the shortest path to real friendship. You don’t become friends with someone because an algorithm says you’re compatible. You become friends because you both showed up to the same football match, the same language exchange, the same startup night — and then showed up again.

So we built the whole loop into one app: discover an event you care about, join it, coordinate in the group chat, meet in person, and keep the memories and the people afterward.

What makes Meetility different?

• Interest-based matching. You tell Meetility what you love, and it suggests events and people with the highest overlap — not random strangers within a radius.
• Group chat built in. Every event gets its own chat, plus one-to-one messaging, so plans don’t scatter across five other apps.
• Memories that last. After the event, the group shares photos in one place — approved by the host, visible to the people who were actually there.
• A community you can trust. Verified hosts, member ratings, private profiles, and follow requests keep things safe and real.
• Paid events, handled. Hosts can sell tickets with built-in, multi-currency payments — no spreadsheets, no chasing transfers.

Who is Meetility for?

More than 14,000 members have joined so far, and together they’ve hosted over 1,400 events — from casual coffees to full-day trips. Our most active communities are in the United Arab Emirates and Iran, and the app works in English, Persian, and Arabic with full right-to-left support.

Where are we headed?
