Terms of Service
Updated:
These terms are the agreement between you and Meetility when you use our apps and website. They’re deliberately written in plain language: if you create an account, you’re agreeing to everything below. If anything is unclear, ask us at hello@meetility.ae before you rely on it.
Who can use Meetility?
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to legally agree to these terms where you live. If we find an account that doesn’t meet this, we’ll remove it. You also agree to use Meetility only where doing so is legal for you.
Your account
- Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
- One account per person. Your account is yours: don’t share your login, and don’t use anyone else’s.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account. If you think it’s been compromised, change your password and tell us.
- Don’t impersonate people, misrepresent who you are, or create accounts to evade a suspension.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. You can delete your own account at any time, in the app, under account settings.
Community conduct
Meetility exists so people can meet safely in real life. That only works if everyone plays fair:
- No harassment, ever. No threats, hate speech, stalking, sexual harassment, or targeting people on the basis of who they are — in chats, on profiles, or at events. This is our brightest line, and crossing it gets accounts removed.
- Be honest. No scams, no fake events, no misleading event descriptions, no spam.
- Respect consent and privacy. Don’t share other members’ personal information, photos, or messages outside the app without their permission. Memories photos are for the group that was there.
- Follow the law. Anything illegal offline is against the rules online too.
If you see behavior that breaks these rules, report it in the app. We review reports and act on them.
Hosting events
Anyone can host on Meetility, and hosts carry real responsibility:
- Describe your event accurately — what it is, where it is, what it costs, and any requirements.
- You control your event: capacity, privacy, and who gets in via join approval. Use that control fairly and without discrimination.
- You’re responsible for running the event lawfully and safely, including any permits, venue permissions, or insurance it may need.
- You moderate your event’s group chat and approve its memories photos. Keep both within these terms.
Meetility provides the platform — discovery, join requests, group chat, ticketing — but events are organized and run by their hosts, not by us.
Events, tickets, and refunds
Some events are paid. Hosts set their own ticket prices, and Meetility processes the payment securely in the app.
- Refunds are governed by the host’s policy for that event, so read it before you buy. If an event is cancelled by the host, ticket holders are refunded.
- Meetility is not a party to the arrangement between you and a host beyond processing the transaction. If something goes wrong with a paid event, contact the host first; if you can’t resolve it, contact us and we’ll help where we reasonably can.
- Hosts must honor the refund policy they publish.
Content you post
You own what you post — messages, photos, event descriptions. By posting it, you give Meetility the license needed to store, display, and distribute it within the platform so the product can work (for example, showing your event to nearby members). Don’t post content you don’t have the rights to.
We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.
What Meetility is not responsible for
We work hard to keep the platform safe — verified hosts, ratings, reports, join approvals — but we can’t be everywhere:
- Events happen in the real world. You attend events at your own judgment and risk. Meetility does not organize, supervise, or guarantee events or the behavior of members or hosts.
- The service is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, though we aim for both.
- Our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law gives you and that can’t be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Meetility evolves. For meaningful changes we’ll update the date above and notify you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Meetility after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree with a change, delete your account before it takes effect.
